The Law of First Mention simply means that we build the Foundation for a subject or teaching based on the first time it was mentioned! We need to keep in mind that simply because something is mentioned doesn't mean its alright for people to do it. Its even more important to keep in mind that just because A Saint did something doesn't mean its an acceptable practice for us.
Before the Judicial Portions of the Work Of Moses was given to Moses Abram Married his half Sister and Jacob ended up Marrying Four Women.
YHWH, through Moses made it clear sexual relations with Family Members was forbidden. Under the Judicial Portions of the Work Of Moses Abram would have been stoned for Marrying his Half Sister!
Jacob Marrying Four Women is an acceptable Practice under the Judicial Portions of the Work Of Moses.
We have just seen two examples of the Law Of First Mention that the Work Of Moses built upon, approving Multiple Wives and Banning Incest.
From what I can tell many Believers seem to be under the impression that Isaiah 7:14 was given to Isaiah from YHWH 'Elohiym as a stand alone NEW Revelation! In reality The Breath Of 'Elohiym (The Holy Spirit) revealed to Isaiah Genesis 3:15 which is the Foundation for Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
The Prophecy of the Virgin Birth begin at Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Take special notice of the phrase “between thy seed and her seed”! Women do not have SEED making Genesis 3:15 the First Mention for the Virgin Birth and Not Isa 7:14!
The Law Of First Mention is the Foundation for Biblical Truth where each and every subject is built upon from its First mention, never breaking the Link back to the Original First Mention!
This is the Key to opening the Bible's Door of Truth. |
